County Office Building Elevator Out of Order.
The elevator at the County Office Building (COB) is not working and repairs are underway. However, the electronics may take a month to repair. Until that time, if you have accessibility issues and need service from the Equalization Office, Register of Deeds, or County Treasurer's Office, please call ahead and staff will meet with you on the first floor. We have also placed a phone at the elevator entrance for you to call upstairs to request assistance. We apologize for this inconvenience.
County Commissioners Meetings Moved through August 2026.
Due to the elevator failure and accessibility issues to the public meetings, the County Board of Commissioners will meet at Hillsdale City Council Chambers at the Hillsdale City Hall on July 28, August 11, and August 25. Further changes will be made if the elevator is not repaired by the end of August.

Michigan-Indiana State Line Survey Program RFP
Hillsdale County is seeking proposals from qualified Professional Land Surveyors licensed in the State of Michigan to perform surveying services associated with the Michigan-Indiana State Line Remonumentation Project. This project is funded through a grant authorized by the Michigan-Indiana State Line Remonumentation Act (Public Act 81 of 2022) and administered by the State of Michigan’s Office of Land Survey and Remonumentation within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
